Ladybug Kindness and Candy Pencils!

Take a Double Step Ladder card, add mirror image balancing lady bugs (digi stamp), sparkly flowers, ribbon, bling and you have a dimensional spring card!

Really a fun card and the cuts were easier than I thought they would be.
I found the template for this at: Photobucket

I am entering this in the following challenges:

365 Cards - Day 44, Fancy Folds - Double Stair Step Card (my DD is the designer for that day, check it out!)
Designed 2 Delight - use the freebie image, Lady Bug Balancing act by Faith

A Spoonful of Sugar - All Creatures Great and Small
Craft Your Passion - 2 X 2, make a pair
Creative Card Crew - spring
Dutch Dare - fancy folds
Incy Wincy Designs - Flower Frenzy
Papertake Weekly - truly Dimensional
Tuesday Throwdown - Sparkle and Bling
Your Next Stamp Challenge - Texture It
Pixie Dust Studio - Say It Out Loud, use a sentiment

Also wanted to show off test examiners pencils for the Missouri Assessement Progran that we are now in the middle of. Since I am the BTC (or Building Test Coordinator, no pay raise with the title!), I do a training every year with the teachers and constantly say, "Only #2 pencils." And every year someone will ask, "Can we use mechanical pencils?" NO, your may not! Arghhh! So this picture show you my reminder for this year. I used SU! supplies except for the computer generated sentiment and the gold rim around the eraser end.

Have a great Sunday!

DINO-MITE!

Today I get to help kick off the new challenge at the
Designed 2 Delight Designers challenge blog ~ Card Ideas!

Debbie Fisher is hosting this challenge:

KIDDING AROUND!
"April 10-16 is Week of the Young Child.
Let’s create a card/project for a young child.
This can be for any occasion: birthday, get well, or just because."

It seems that Debbie knew something about me or has a sixth sense because I have celebrated the Week of the Young Child for many years. My first job in the education field was as a teacher and director at Window Tree Preschool. I attended many Conference on the Young Years presented by Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Besides my degree in Elementary Education and Elementary Guidance and Counseling, I also have a degree in Early Childhood.

Well, enough about me, on to the card...

I think Faith's Dino-mite Birthday Party set is perfect to brighten any child's day.
Dino-Mite Birthday [Set]
I decided that I would make this a girly-girl dinosaur [Dino's aren't just for boys ya' know!]  and went with the all pinkish color scheme with lots of fussy cutting, glitz and glamour!

I used a Stand-Up card design.
(Free template here and check out others similar cards on Splitcoast)

Guest Designer Spot at Designed 2 Delight!

Welcome to Part 1 of my week as a Guest Designer for Faith - artist and owner of - Designed 2 Delight! The perks of being a guest designer is that I got the image before anyone else, but the downside is that she asked me to keep a secret! Ahhh!

Garden Party is the next free image at Designed 2 Delight that I am showcasing for you today. It was so much fun to pull out my color pencils/OMS and color in this happy spring image. I love the little mice eyeing the cupcake! I kept the design simple but I just 'had' to add some bling and glitz. (If you play along from the 'get-go' at the beginning of the month you will get a free image the next week. If you didn't have a chance to grab the first freebie, never fear, you can find it in her shop along with some other amazing digi images)

You will find this card at the designers blog - Card Ideas Challenge Blog.

Along with Card Ideas, I am entering this beauty into the following challenges~
