SPRING BIRTHDAY WISHES!

Speaking of Spring, storm warnings are out for tonight, including tornado warnings north of us. Hey Kim, remember, I won't be in the recliner this time...I'll be asleep in bed! Better get this posted before it hits...

Look close at the butterfly, it is a close-up of a petunia picture that I took a couple years ago...

OK, going to make this quick, so listed below are the inspirational
challenges that inspired this card...

Allsorts Challenge - to make your own flower
CES Challenge - Flower and Flutterbys
Cooking it Up with Katie - the recipe of white, wings and wishes
Cr8 4 Fun Color Challenge - use colors from the following chart

Crazy 4 Challenges - use flowers
Die Cut Dreams - Spring garden scene
Inspirational Card Sketches the sketch below
Lexi's Creations - flowers
Oldie but a Goodie Challenge  - a stamped image at least 6 months old,
got the Just Believe stamp set at SU! Convention last July, what fun!
One Stop Craft Challenge - spring flowers
Paper Cutz Challenge - spring flowers
Party Time Tuesday - anything goes
Reasonable Ribbon - Spring theme with ribbon
Sentimental Sundays - Spring theme with sentiment
Stamp Something Challenge - Stamp something with flowers
Stamping Bs Design Team - use a flower
Sugar Creek Hollow - inside out, meaning front and inside are completed
Tuesday Throwdown - 3-D, pop up design
Paper Pals Arts - element of style with scallops
Simply Create Challenge - power of flowers
365 Cards Day 363 - Faux Framed, look close, I scored double lines
around the flower image!

Well, looks like the storm is staying north (well most of it)
but now they threw in the "S" word...

SNOW!
Aghhhhh, said Charlie Brown!

Gratitude for a Friend!

Quick card today to join in with my DD DT card at 365 Cards! Told her I would copy her card and I did, well, sort of. I did the same fold technique from Splitcoast Stampers Triangle Trifold but I used Double Sided heavy paper stock, different colors, different image, used a paper clip and folded mine a little different to get the 2 different colors on the front. Hmmm, guess I was inspired by her card and went from there would be a better way to put it!

365 Cards, Day 353 - Sketch
4 Crafty Chicks - use a fairy, angel or what I chose, a butterfly
Allsorts Challenge - inspired by nature
Craft Your Passion - use pink, I went for subtle, soft pink
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - SOS, Someone Special, this is for a friend I work with
The Saturday Challenge - fancy folds

Thanks for stopping by on this Sunny Sunday, wow, it feels good to say that!

'OWL' BE LATE FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY!

How's that for a title? My dear daughter Kimmy's birthday was this past Thursday, Feb. 10. I didn't get a card made until today, 2 days too late...but it'll have a gift in it and she can go shopping with it...so I hope I'm not too bad of a mommy. Happy Birthday Kimmy! If it makes you feel better, I thought about those labor pains all day! Here's her card, now I just have to get it in the mail!

A close up of the dimensional part of it. Love this style, called a bendy fold card and I found the toot at Lady and the Stamp and it's free! Gotta love free! She also has a toot for a 'box' card that is really neat. Both can be found at the top right column.

Now it wouldn't be a good card for Kim if I didn't enter it in some challenges, so here are some inspiring inspirations....

By the Cute and Girly - Red + any other color on your project
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Crazy 4 Challenges - hearts
Critter Challenge - a critter/animal image
Cute Card Thursday - hearts and flowers
Fab 'n Funky - tempting texture, the bling, the ribbon the embossed (crochet) vest and flowers
For Fun Challenge - include hearts
Inspirational Card Sketches - OK, going out on a limb here, but my card folds look like the stacked layers to me!
Oldie by Goodie - add a heart, my oldie is the DP from SU!, actually the backside of last year's Halloween paper
Paper Play Challenge - hearts and flowers but not valentine, it's a B-Day card!
Paper Take Weekly - hearts
Day 347 at 365 Cards - to think in thirds
Catch the Bug Challenge - to use a differrent kind of fold for a card
Well, I guess I'll go with "It's better late than never!" Sorry KL, I'll come visit and do your laundry and housecleaning to make up for it!
Just in case you don't know, she lives in Hawaii!

Here's to many more birthdays for Kim and I won't tell how old she is!

Pressed Flowers

New technique toot on Splitcoast called Pressed Flowers.

Fun technique and probably a lot of ways you can take this.

I have been inspired by the following challenges:

1. Corrosive Challenges - button up, I placed pearls on the 3 buttons
2. Picture Perfect Creations - colors of Rich Razzelberry, Blushing Bride and Old Olive
3. CCEE Stampers - use a punched piece, 5-petal flower by SU! and Heart (for leaves) MS
4. Craft Us Crazy - Anything Goes
5. Crazy 4 Challenges - vintage or shabby chic, sponged the bottom portion and the pressed flowers appear vintage to me!
6. Creatalicious Challenge - all about Ribbon and Love
7. Creative Card Crew - pink and purple
8. Diva Coffee Break Design - the sketch I used

9.   Dutch Dare Card Challenge - buttons, buttons, whose got the buttons?
10. Kaboodle Doodles - Monochromatic
11. 365 Cards, Day 339, Half and Half - Half embossing, half sponged (check out my DD DT card for this challenge at the above link!)
12. Faux Pressed Flower at Splitcoast - my take of the technique

Well, getting ready to leave the house for the first time today since Monday afternoon! 3 more 'spurts' of snow predicted for the next week. Yippy!
