Kaela Angel and a New/Old Technique

Pam, the fearless leader at 365 Cards, is reliving her childhood and decided to bring back an art technique she learned in, well, probably Kindergarten! I know, because I am a past Kindergarten teacher and my students loved blowing paint around the paper.  Pam calls it "Blow Art". I call it, "Give the kids something to do so they'll be short of breath and therefore, QUIET!"

I combined "Blow Art" challenge and Faith's Kaela Angel at Designed 2 Delight on this card because my daughter Kim is a design team member on both challenges.

It's hard to see in the picture, you may need to enlarge it, but the background is made first, by clear embossing snowflakes on glossy card stock, then using the stone technique (reinkers dabbed with an alcohol soaked cotton ball), next I used the "Blow Art" technique, and finally embossed it with a snowflake cuttlebug folder.

I am entering this in several challenges:

Day 255, 365 Cards - Blow Art

Slippah!

Or on the mainland, know as flip flops! So Pam, palm trees make me think of my daughter, who lives in Hawaii and that makes me think of planes, which is what I wanted to make my card, but then I couldn't find one I liked, so, I thought I could make a beach scene, but I had a hard time going there coz I give all my Hawaiian stamps to Kim, so I knew I had a chipboard palm tree, well, couldn't find it, so I decided to find a flip flop template, did that, and here is the card I made for Kim's day 234 at 365 CARDS! Whew, I'm tired...

this works for me, because when we go to Kim's we kick off the tennies and socks and go for the Slippahs! Which by the way, need to be left at the door...

Aloha!

2 Apples

Unbelievable! A 10 minute card done in 30 minutes and while eating popcorn! How's that for therapy? Actually my DD called and said "Hurry up Mother, CDAC has a midnight challenge, get it done!" So I did, now I wonder, where is her card? Uhmmmm...
Managed to find 3 challenges to enter this in:
Wee Memories - A Tutti Frutti Challenge, that also would be the apples
Designed 2 Delight Challenge-that's where you can pick up the apple digi for free until Thursday

That's all for now, dishes are done so it must be time to go to bed!
