Look To The Sky!

When I saw the requirement for Monday, August 10, 2009 Day 163 - Try a Technique: Masking I knew I wanted to make a cloudy sky. I've tried this before and I really like it. I used SU! scallop punch and moved it around as I sponged Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue around it. I did find it looks more natural if you just move the scallop quickly from place to place and sponge overlapping around the clouds. The butterfly is a Cuttlebug Die and Embossing folder. I sponged the raised area with Brilliance white and a little gold around the edges to make it stand out against the sky. I used double pop up dots to help created a shadow of the butterfly ( look close, you'll see it). An extremely easy CAS card. Good for when you need a card at the last minute, any sentiment would be appropriate.

Did you know that it is a proven fact that we need 12 hugs a day to be Happy and Healthy? Start counting.

Consider yourself hugged! Beautiful card! Great job. You should put this in over at Flutterby Wednesday challenge too! It's dannisdreamscrafts.blogspot.com I think! If that doesn't work, let me know! TFS...

Mom should definitely join the Flutterby challenge...butterflies are one of her favorite things to use are cards! I should make a drinking game that I take a shot for every butterfly on her cards! HEHE! Just kidding, I love the butterflies and the sky on this one is awesome...you're really getting the sponging down! Great job!
